The Resort collections give us a sneak preview of what we can expect from the Spring/Summer 2017 Catwalk shows. Slightly more commercially focused, but nevertheless important in their instant availability and timely showings, even the men are getting in on the act showcasing men’s pre-collections alongside womenswear. The Patternbank Team have analysed the collections showing on the Milan catwalks to bring you Part 1 of the print and pattern highlights from the Italian shows. Eccentricity and mad combinations are a key trend with pattern clash and layering featuring heavily throughout the shows. Colourful and patched furs are a staple from graphic zig-zagging from Salvatore Ferragamo to eccentrically patched fur gillets from Antonio Marras.  Watch out for Part 2 of Milan’s best to follow.
