The Patternbank Team have analysed all the key print trends at Milan Fashion Week and today we bring you Part 2 of the highlights from the Milan shows. Here we saw more of the eclectic combinations of pattern and texture from Prada and Dsquared2 with bold geo collage dominating on the Marni runway and Gucci’s customary riot of tantalising styles. With the current trend towards seasonally confused collections, the message seems to be anything goes! Don’t forget to check out Paris coming soon.

Milan is upping it’s game this season and Spring/Summer 2016 runway was filled with an abundance of rich, decorative prints and an inspiring variation on trends from the designers, who were not always following the norm. Take Prada for instance who went out on a limb and gave us a bit of everything going, a mash-up of seventies wallpapers to mid-century modern, it all came together in the usual sophisticated Prada way. Gucci also went for a mixing pot of ideas from oriental to expensive vintage with just the right amount of frills and decoration. Etro with their usual affinity towards textiles brought a romantic folk look to the fore, where beautiful embroidery prints took centre stage in delicate silhouettes. Catch Milan Part 2 later this week and the Paris Shows next week.
