The Patternbank Team have been analysing the latest Resort 2017 collections and have put together the strongest print trends alongside designs from the Patternbank Online Textile Design Studio that we think perfectly complement each story. The Resort collections give us a sneak preview of what we can expect from the Spring/Summer 2017 Catwalk shows. Slightly more commercially focused, but nevertheless important in their instant availability and timely showings, even the men are getting in on the act showcasing men’s pre-collections alongside womenswear. Watch out for Part 2 later this week.

The Patternbank Team have analysed all the key print trends at London Fashion Week and today we bring you Part 2 of the highlights from the London shows. The current trend for mixing different eras continued with the 1930’s and 40’s appearing heavily on the catwalk as well as the 70’s glam rock styles with a touch of Ziggy Stardust. Eccentric women in all their glory with beautiful florals and lace with a few wacky added touches like rain hats at Christopher Kane. Watch out for Milan Fashion Week live on the site later this week.

Fresh from London Fashion week, Christopher Kane’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection has a distinct minimalist feel. Simple relaxed suiting is complimented with strong graphic print placements. Kane’s 3D linear depictions of the human form are oversized creating a futuristic edge, and his use of pure monochrome against bold primary colours on black, give this look eye catching appeal. Check out the full collection at Fashionising.com.
