Dries Van Noten’s Fall 2017 Collection at Paris Fashion Week was a dazzling retrospective of some of his favourite prints from Chintz to Japanese Kimonos and mezmerizing geometrics, all re-worked into a collection of fabulous dresses. This was Dries 100th show and featured models that walked the catwalk for him back in 1993, a strong and lasting image of powerful women in powerful prints.

Patternbank are swooning after Erdem’s rich Fall 2017 collection of glorious silk and velvet dresses, references to the Ottoman Empire and prints mixed with English Flowers and Islamic Miniature Paintings were among some of the stand-out pieces at London Fashion Week.

Peter Pilotto’s Fall 2017 collection at London Fashion Week took us on a trip to Peru where the designers explored quilting techniques and oversized pockets were decorated with Inca style designs in contrasting thread. Abstract bold leaf prints were other stand out pieces to this vibrant show.

The Patternbank team once again travelled to Paris this September to absorb and experience Première Vision’s Autumn/Winter 17/18 show.
