Sarajo Frieden Folk Tales and the Extraordinary inspiration

Sarajo Frieden works from her studio in Los Angeles that borders Thai Town, Little Armenia and Korea Town. Surrounded by these different cultures brings a beautiful diversity to her work. She also finds inspiration from the worlds of fine, folk and decorative art, including Persian miniatures, Shaker trance drawings, Japanese ukiyo-e and her Hungarian great aunt’s embroidery. We particularly like her Embroidery’s on paper which you can see here. You can see more of her diverse portfolio of illustrations and artworks at lillarogers.com
